Q: What is the eligibility criteria to apply for PO & clerk posts?
A: For PO – Candidates must be within 21 - 30 yrs of age & have completed graduation in 1st class with min. 60% as on 01.03.2010
For clerks – Should be within 18 - 28 yrs of age along with a pass in degree OR must have secured min.60% in 10+2, as on 01.03.2010
For both posts, applicants must have working knowledge in Computers & Hindi language.
Q: I don't know Hindi.Can I learn it now?
A: Canara bank has given option to learn hindi before completing their probation period (clerk- 6 months, PO – 2yrs) ,if selected
Q: Can I apply for both the posts?
A: Yes.Candidates who have the eligibility can apply for both Clerk & PO posts.In such cases, you have to pay the application fees & apply online for each post separately.
Q: I am presently in the final sem/year of college.Am i eligible to apply?
A: No. Canara bank has clearly mentioned that the qualifications must be as of March 1, 2010.So, candidates in final year/ semester/ waiting for results are not eligible to apply.
